About the role

The role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Redfern multi-functional site that operates as a head office, community and client service. This includes core responsibilities that enable the site to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors, primarily WAGEC’s community members accessing service (i.e. clients). The role offers receptionist, administrative and systems support, while also maintaining the physical spaces, coordinating donations and consumables for staff and clients.

This role is part of WAGEC’s Quality and Impact department and will report to the Manager of Quality and Operations. The role works closely with our Client Services and Fundraising and Communities teams, including volunteers.

Skills & Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • Understanding and/or sensitivity to the experiences of those impacted by domestic and family violence, homelessness and trauma
  • Experience or willingness to learn how to perform duties relating to delivering general administration, office management; safe workplaces; project support, or reception functions
  • Willingness and experience interacting and nurturing relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, including community members accessing service, WAGEC supporters and staff.
  • Positive customer service skills including supporting people that may be distressed or agitated
  • Skills in use of variety of ICT systems including Microsoft products
  • Proactive and pragmatic approach, including working independently and as part of a team.
