WAGEC is a support and accommodation service for women and families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness
We provide crisis and transitional accommodation, outreach case management, brokerage for retaining current tenancies, access to basic necessities such as food, material and social assistance, and a safe space. We also provide case management services to assist women and families to access housing, medical treatment, drug and alcohol treatment, mental health support, legal and other services.
The women and families we support have little family and community support. Many of the women and families have been impacted by issues such as domestic violence; history of sexual assault; mental health; drug and alcohol use, and come from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
