Bookkeeper

THE ROLE

The Bookkeeper supports WAGEC and the Director of Finance by undertaking and managing a range of finance-related responsibilities. This role reports to the Director of Finance and works collaboratively across the organisation to support individual, team and program financial activities. This is a permanent, part-time role of approx. 22.5hrs per week, with flexibility in hours Monday to Friday.

The core responsibilities of this role are:

  • Manage and process accounts receivable and payable
  • Provide a range of reporting and financial administration tasks
  • Undertake reconciliations of nominated accounts
  • Support the wider organisation by responding to enquiries, providing access to accounts and contract-related information
  • Contribute to the Finance team's continuous improvement work and special projects.

ABOUT YOU

  • You'll have at least 5 years' experience in providing bookkeeping services including data processing, preparing BAS, and detailed job costing
  • You'll have solid experience using MYOB, Microsoft suite and, ideally, Teams
  • You'll be experienced in payroll processing and account reconciliations
  • You'll be compassionate to the needs of women and families experiencing homelessness and/or family/domestic violence
  • You're a strong communicator, able to work effectively across multiple teams
  • You're able to take initiative, prioritise your workload and stay organised, and you thrive on accuracy and attention to detail!
