The Spring Holiday Program which runs as part of the SEED Program was an enormous success with families participating across both our crisis and transitional accommodation sites. The program, which spanned the first two weeks of October, included child centred activities at the refuge, organised community excursions, vouchers given to families for independent activities and 150 activity packs which were created and distributed to all the families at WAGEC. The program involved everyone across the WAGEC community including staff, child minding volunteers, our corporate partners and of course our families. The school holiday programs are such a crucial part to ensuring the children and young at WAGEC's social, emotional, educational and developmental needs are met. They ensure kids stay active during the holidays and provide mothers the time and space to continue working through their needs in a time of crisis.
