Driving social change with Stella Insurance

By WAGEC

Published on December 15, 2021

We are delighted to be entering the next stage of our partnership with Stella Insurance, which aims to drive social change through support and empowerment for women and children who have experienced homelessness and domestic violence. This year Stella Insurance will be generously donating $5 from every new car insurance policy they sell to support WAGEC’s Donations Program.

Every year WAGEC supports over 1500 women and families in crisis, providing over $522,000 in material aid to our clients through our Donations Program.

Stella Insurance’s support will help to ensure women and families receive the essential items they need following experiences of crisis whether that be non-perishable food, linen and towels, clothes, toiletries, technology and furniture when they move into a new home. Thanks to the support of Stella Insurance and the generosity of our community, we can provide material aid as a form of empowerment and a way to restore dignity, confidence and hope.

Like WAGEC, Stella is ‘for women, by women.’ Stella Insurance are mission-led and passionately pro-women. By recognising the unique needs of women and putting them at the centre of everything they do, Stella has redefined the customer experience and reward safe drivers (which they know women statistically are) with competitive pricing and a premium product.

Beyond insurance, Stella aims to challenge gender biases and empower women. They strive to partner with like-minded people and organisations to help drive actionable and progressive change for women. They are building a community through its platforms to educate, support and empower females to help drive actionable and progressive change for women.

Together we are on the road to support women and families who have experienced homelessness and domestic violence. Thank you to the Stella Insurance team, whose passion for empowering and amplifying women’s voices will be making meaningful change for WAGEC’s clients and community.
