Take action for safe futures

There is no single solution to ending gender-based violence, but there are countless ways to be part of the solution.

Take action as a...

Why we all have a role to play

Gender-based violence and homelessness are national crises, but they aren’t individual problems. They’re driven by systems, attitudes and behaviours that deny people safety, dignity and choice.

Frontline services can’t solve this alone. Real change takes whole communities: individuals, workplaces, schools, sporting clubs, faith groups and neighbourhoods. However you get behind WAGEC, whether you donate, volunteer or fundraise, you’re helping support practical, trauma-informed support for women, trans and gender-diverse people, children and communities.

-Rachael Phillips, Director of Fundraising and Communities
“It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the scale of these issues.
The truth is, meaningful change rarely happens all at once. Choose one action that feels right for you, start where you are, and show up wholeheartedly.
Small actions, consistently and collectively, help create lasting change.
”

As an individual

You don’t need a huge platform or big budget to make a difference. Every action helps build momentum and starts the ripple effect of change.
