Philanthropy makes
change possible

WAGEC’s philanthropy program partners with foundations, trusts and individual donors to fund innovation, crisis support, prevention and long-term systems change to end domestic and family violence.

Why philanthropy matters more than ever

Some of WAGEC’s most effective and transformative programs began with a simple question: What if we tried something different?

These ideas often emerge long before the funding and evidence exists to support them. Philanthropic partners help bridge that gap. They allow us to identify emerging needs, test innovative approaches, evaluate what works, and scale successful programs for greater impact.

Investing in women is one of the most effective ways to strengthen families, communities and future generations. Here are just some of the ways philanthropic support can help fund safety, recovery and long-term change across WAGEC’s work.

$10,000

A term of community groups and recovery activities for Helping Children Heal.

$25,000

Support four women through our full Access mentoring program.

$50,000

Housing, case management and client advocacy for survivors.

$100,000+

Expand an existing program, including dedicated operational support.

$250,000+

Scale a major prevention, housing or recovery initiative.

$500,000+

Drive multi-year systems change and innovation to help end gender-based violence in a generation.

From pilot to permanent: From Now

The Judith Neilson Foundation and the Siddle Family Foundation helped develop the From Now program, providing support for women exiting prison.

Create change,
together

Guided by shared values, we work closely with every major donor to ensure their investment delivers meaningful, lasting impact in line with their goals and priorities. Here’s how we create change together.

Collaboration

We believe the strongest partnerships are built on trust, shared purpose and long-term relationships. By genuinely working together, we can create greater impact than any of us could alone.

Honesty

Transparency is at the heart of every meaningful partnership. We provide clear reporting on how your investment is used, the outcomes it achieved and the difference your support is making.

Accountability

As a registered charity, we are committed to strong governance, responsible stewardship and thoughtful evaluation, so every dollar is used with care and purpose.

Need

We welcome both restricted and unrestricted funding, ensuring support reaches where it is needed most today while also funding the ideas, innovation and emerging challenges of tomorrow.

Growth

Our focus is on tracking both short-term gains and long-term change across our programs and advocacy work, sharing the outcomes and insights generated through your support.

Excellence

Meaningful change takes time and care. We value long-term relationships, respect your preferences around recognition and confidentiality, and work alongside you to create valuable impact that lasts.

Nicole Yade, WAGEC CEO
“Philanthropy allows us to build what others can’t, or won’t, fund. It gives us the freedom and flexibility to test new ideas, respond to emerging needs and create innovative solutions that can ultimately change systems.”
