Programs to Empower Women

Support for Women

Case management, pathways to financial independence and therapeutic support

Case Management - Holistic One on One Support

Our case managers work personally with women and children who are living in our accommodation and in the community. Case managers provide emotional support as well as practical help.

Please not that due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have had to change the way we temporarily operate. Most of our case management is now provided safely online or over the phone.

Mentoring Program - ACCESS

ACCESS is a mentoring and tailored support program that provides women with the tools they need to rebuild their future after experiencing homelessness and/or domestic violence. The program sets women up for long-term success through access to mentoring, training, education and employment opportunities. We received over 70 mentor applications in our first round of recruitment which closed on 30 January 2020 - thank you to everyone who applied. If you are interested in applying to be a mentor in future rounds, please email access@wagec.org.au.

The Whole Self - Therapeutic Programs and Activities

We have a range of therapeutic and creative programs to help women and families recover from trauma. These include yoga and meditation courses, art therapy, and parenting and child attachment programs.
